Truck-mounted Lifts

BMS and Jalo & Jalo establish Joint Venture

Servicing the telecom sector and the constant expansion of the mobile phone network form an essential part of the business basis for the creation of the Danish-Finnish joint venture. However, the new joint JaloBMS will continue to focus on other industries such as energy, wind turbines, industry, construction and window cleaning.

The keyword is “reliability of delivery”!

Finnish lift expert Jalo & Jalo and Danish BMS - now the world's fifth largest crane group - have just established a new international joint venture company, JaloBMS, specializing in large truck lifts. Together, the two companies are now merging their professional competencies and many truck lifts, including a number of the world's largest truck lifts, which can push the lift basket up to a working height of over 100 meters.

With up to 100 truck lifts, the new company will be one of Europe's largest in terms of the number of truck lifts. The long-term goal is to be able to offer the telecommunications sector throughout Northern Europe, among others, security of supply through sufficient volume and expertise. Work on high-voltage pylons and wind turbines are also among the many tasks that the new joint venture sees as business areas with their truck-mounted lifts with working heights from 30 to 104 meters. The new JaloBMS will initially focus on the Scandinavian and Finnish markets, where they are already strong, but will also take on projects abroad.

Headquartered in Aalborg, BMS Group has more than 30 locations in Denmark, Sweden and Norway, while Jalo & Jalo has more than 10 locations in Finland and Sweden.

Bringing different competencies

“With our large fleet of truck lifts, many locations and Jalo & Jalo's more than 50 years of experience in this special industry, we have the best prerequisites for providing our customers with optimal service and, not least, delivery reliability. We are working towards becoming the industry's preferred partner,” explains Jens Enggaard, CEO of BMS.

Sami Jalo, CEO of Jalo & Jalo, adds: “We are excited about the opportunity to work closely with BMS. With their multiple locations, international network in combination with our large lift fleet and knowledge in the field, together we will be very strong and be able to offer our customers a wider range of options.”

Working from Jalo & Jalo's headquarters in Turko, Sami Jalo will also become CEO of the new joint venture, with Jens Enggaard assuming the position of Chairman of the Board.

Facts: BMS, established in 1953, is today one of the largest crane companies in the world with more than 600 cranes and 1,600 employees in approximately 50 locations globally.

Jalo & Jalo, established in 1972, is the largest supplier in the Nordic region with its large fleet of truck lifts.
