More environmentally friendly solutions for crane and lifting projects
At BMS, we continuously work to optimise our technical solutions and reduce our environmental impact. This applies both to our own operations and to the solutions we provide to our customers.
We invest in more environmentally friendly equipment, including electric cranes, hybrid cranes and the use of HVO where relevant for the project. The goal is to reduce CO2 impact, noise and environmental footprint without compromising safety, quality or efficiency.

How can electric cranes and HVO reduce environmental impact on projects?
At BMS, we work with solutions that can reduce CO2 impact, noise and environmental footprint on projects where it is possible and relevant. This includes electric cranes, hybrid cranes and the use of HVO as an alternative fuel.
Our electric cranes are developed with a focus on reducing both CO2 emissions and noise. This makes them particularly relevant in areas where environmental requirements, noise levels and working conditions are important.
Electric cranes and hybrid cranes
BMS operates cranes that are 100% electric, as well as hybrid cranes that combine diesel transport with electric operation on site.
Hybrid cranes can travel to and from the worksite using a diesel engine. Once the crane is on site, the lifting function can be powered electrically through a cable. This means that the lifting operation can be carried out without the use of fossil fuels during the actual lifting work.
This flexibility makes it possible to combine mobility with electric operation when the task and site conditions require it.
HVO as an alternative fuel
BMS also offers HVO, Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil, as an alternative to diesel. HVO is a biomass-based fuel that can significantly reduce CO2 impact compared to conventional diesel.
The use of HVO can also contribute to lower local emissions and support projects where more environmentally friendly solutions are a priority.
Part of ongoing development
BMS works closely with manufacturers and suppliers to identify solutions and technologies that can contribute to more sustainable development.
This is both about reducing the environmental impact of our own operations and offering customers solutions that match the requirements of each specific project.
