BMS invests in future solutions for the wind industry

The wind industry is developing at a rapid pace, and the requirements for both equipment and working methods are changing significantly. In recent years, BMS Lift has experienced a decreasing demand for truck lifts in the wind sector, as new and cheaper alternatives have come onto the market. To meet the changing needs while maintaining our position in the industry, BMS Group has chosen to invest in the advanced SQYFlex work platforms.

A flexible and modern solution for working on wings

SQYFlex is a specially developed work platform designed for the repair and servicing of wind turbine blades. The platform is attached to the nacelle with steel cables, which are used to lift it up and down the tower. During the work, the platform can change shape to fit the part of the blade that needs to be serviced.

The platform can be divided into smaller sections that can be heated with built-in heat lamps and dehumidified as needed, allowing technicians to work in a controlled environment, even when wind and weather challenge the workday.

SQYFlex is also easy to transport, as it is built on a trailer that can be coupled directly to a van. This makes the solution flexible and mobile – no matter where the task needs to be solved.

Safety and capacity are paramount

The platform can carry three technicians or a total of 550 kg and is approved for work in wind speeds up to 14 m/s. This means that it meets the industry's high requirements for both efficiency and safety, while being adaptable to different task types and blade sizes.

A strategic investment in the future

With the investment in SQYFlex, BMS Group strengthens its position as a modern and relevant partner in the wind industry. The platforms serve as a natural complement to our existing solutions and enable us to offer tools that match both today's and tomorrow's needs.

SQYFlex is rented as just rental , where the customer is responsible for the operation. If desired, BMS Lift can also offer rental with its own operators, so customers get the same flexibility as when renting truck lifts.
