For many years, BMS Aarhus has been providing stages, equipment and cultural experiences at Smukfest, from construction to dismantling and cleanup after the festival.

Normally, you rarely notice the work that goes into building a bridge. But when BMS Group lifted a 95-ton steel bridge on Lynetteholm, the task became so complex and unique that it was awarded the ESTA Award of Excellence 2023.

BMS moved and installed a new 5G antenna in just five hours with a 60 m crane. The task was completed even with trees, tennis courts and sloping terrain on site.

BMS lifted a 14 m wide and 30 m high banner on the Copenhagen City Hall Tower in the middle of the city. The lift was placed on iron plates to protect the cycle path and ensure stability during the work.

BMS used three large cranes to lift and reassemble a 460-ton crane after slewing ring replacement in a saltwater-exposed environment.

BMS handled the internal transport and load out of 40 XXL monopiles up to 100 metres long and more than 1,200 tonnes for Ørsted’s Borkum Riffgrund 3 offshore wind farm. Using a large fleet of SPMTs, we moved both production sections and completed monopiles before they continued towards final installation.

BMS Kolding assisted in lifting Gelsbro for renovation and returning it safely using Liebherr LTM1250 and LTM1500 cranes, all within the limited space of the nature-protected area.

The Danish electricity grid is facing major changes with more wind, solar and green energy. With over 100,000 steel plates and advanced equipment, BMS ensures an efficient and safe expansion of the grid from the west coast to the east.

BMS A/S, BMS Heavy Cranes and Torben Rafn, together with the other project participants, have completed a major lifting project in connection with the expansion of Copenhagen Airport Station. The task was to hoist a new footbridge from Terminal 3 into place over the train platforms.

Two heavy glass panes had to be installed on narrow balconies without crane access in front of the building. With a mobile tower crane and balance beam, the panes were safely lifted and positioned. A creative solution where precision and planning made all the difference.

A historic dock gate from the 1850s has been lifted from its position by the Opera House in Copenhagen. In a coordinated effort involving a floating crane and three mobile cranes from BMS and our sister company Skaks, the gate was rotated and placed into a coaster. It is now en route to Grenaa for restoration before returning home in December.

A sudden accident on the road required immediate action. Our crane driver Danni cleared the traffic in just 30 minutes and helped everyone move on safely.
