New stadium in Aarhus

The construction of the new stadium in Aarhus is a project at the heavy end. Not only in kilos and tons, but in coordination, sequences and cooperation. Here, several cranes have worked simultaneously in a construction process where timing and planning have been crucial.

Roofboxes for New OUH

On the construction of Nyt OUH in Odense, installing large roofboxes above the elevator shafts has been a special task for almost a year and a half.

The coal bridge in Aarhus

A 57-ton bridge section had to be transported through the city and lifted into place between the buildings in the Spain area of Aarhus. The task required precise planning, close collaboration and the right equipment.

Installation of specially designed steel stairs in office buildings with limited access and assembly on multiple levels.

Driving plates for T-Hansen fireworks stands

BMS has handled both road plates and containers for several years in connection with the fireworks season at T-Hansen. The video shows our driver Søren laying out road plates so that the stalls can be set up safely and efficiently and there are good access routes. The task requires both logistics and speed, and solutions that work in practice.

When heavy lifting starts on the drawing board

Skybridges at Nyt OUH in Odense weigh up to 158 tons and therefore the lift starts long before the crane moves in. Thorough planning, lifting plans, crane selection and engineer-calculated, CE-approved special equipment are essential for a safe lift. The lift was planned by BMS Project & Engineering and carried out in collaboration with BMS Heavy Cranes. A close collaboration that ensures quality and efficiency all the way.

BMS elevates culture at Smukfest

For many years, BMS Aarhus has been providing stages, equipment and cultural experiences at Smukfest, from construction to dismantling and cleanup after the festival.

Bridgelift received the ESTA Award of Excellence 2023

Normally, you rarely notice the work that goes into building a bridge. But when BMS Group lifted a 95-ton steel bridge on Lynetteholm, the task became so complex and unique that it was awarded the ESTA Award of Excellence 2023.

Efficient replacement of a telephone antenna in just five hours

BMS moved and installed a new 5G antenna in just five hours with a 60 m crane. The task was completed even with trees, tennis courts and sloping terrain on site.

Safe lift in the heart of Copenhagen

BMS lifted a 14 m wide and 30 m high banner on the Copenhagen City Hall Tower in the middle of the city. The lift was placed on iron plates to protect the cycle path and ensure stability during the work.

Harbour Crane Renovation at the Port of Aarhus

BMS used three large cranes to lift and reassemble a 460-ton crane after slewing ring replacement in a saltwater-exposed environment.

Transport of 40 XXL monopiles

BMS handled the internal transport and load out of 40 XXL monopiles up to 100 metres long and more than 1,200 tonnes for Ørsted’s Borkum Riffgrund 3 offshore wind farm. Using a large fleet of SPMTs, we moved both production sections and completed monopiles before they continued towards final installation.

Safe Renovation in a Nature-Protected Area

BMS Kolding assisted in lifting Gelsbro for renovation and returning it safely using Liebherr LTM1250 and LTM1500 cranes, all within the limited space of the nature-protected area.

BMS secures the foundation for Denmark’s energy grid

The Danish electricity grid is facing major changes with more wind, solar and green energy. With over 100,000 steel plates and advanced equipment, BMS ensures an efficient and safe expansion of the grid from the west coast to the east.

BMS invests in future solutions for the wind industry

Strong collaboration raises footbridge at Kastrup Airport

BMS A/S, BMS Heavy Cranes and Torben Rafn, together with the other project participants, have completed a major lifting project in connection with the expansion of Copenhagen Airport Station. The task was to hoist a new footbridge from Terminal 3 into place over the train platforms.

Creative solutions for tight spaces

Two heavy glass panes had to be installed on narrow balconies without crane access in front of the building. With a mobile tower crane and balance beam, the panes were safely lifted and positioned. A creative solution where precision and planning made all the difference.

169 Tons of Cultural Heritage in the Air: BMS Lifts Historic Dock Gate in Copenhagen

A historic dock gate from the 1850s has been lifted from its position by the Opera House in Copenhagen. In a coordinated effort involving a floating crane and three mobile cranes from BMS and our sister company Skaks, the gate was rotated and placed into a coaster. It is now en route to Grenaa for restoration before returning home in December.

Rapid response to traffic accident

A sudden accident on the road required immediate action. Our crane driver Danni cleared the traffic in just 30 minutes and helped everyone move on safely.
