Learn more about the use of electric cranes at BMS

BMS has an extensive range of cranes, including cranes that are 100% electric. Our electric cranes are developed with a focus on reducing both CO2 emissions and noise, making them ideal for use in environmentally sensitive areas. In addition, we also have hybrid cranes that can run on both diesel and electricity, providing great flexibility and making it possible to adapt to the specific requirements of the workplace. We offer several types of electric cranes - including truck cranes, crawler cranes and mobile tower cranes - so we can cover a wide range of needs and tasks.

The use of electric cranes makes a significant difference when it comes to reducing the carbon footprint. In addition to the environmental benefit, there is also a significant reduction in noise pollution, making our solutions a more sustainable alternative.

Our hybrid cranes travel to and from the jobsite using a diesel engine, allowing for transportation over longer distances. Once at the jobsite, the hoisting function can be powered 100% electrically via a power cable, meaning that the work can be done without the use of fossil fuels. This flexibility makes it possible to combine the benefits of electric operation with the necessary mobility when the job demands it.

In addition, BMS offers an even greener solution in the form of Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil, also known as HVO, as an alternative fuel to diesel. HVO is a 100% biomass-based fuel that has a proven ability to reduce the carbon footprint by up to 90%, while reducing local emissions by up to 31%. This fuel also meets the requirements of the EU Renewable Energy Directive (2018/2001/EU Article 29) (RED II), ensuring that we work in accordance with the latest environmental standards.

BMS works closely with manufacturers and suppliers to find the best solutions and technologies to contribute to sustainable development, both in our own operations and in the solutions we offer our customers.
